""For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.""
Jeremiah 29:11-13

Role of a Team Member

Dearest Team Member,

I am so excited to serve in the Tres Dias ministry with you. I know you have examined your
responsibilities to God, family, church, work and the many hats you wear! Your commitment to this task will probably cover a period of a little over 4 months from the first team meeting until
the post-weekend critique is completed.

Congratulations!!! You are now allowed to anticipate, as well as participate!

Here is some official information regarding "Role of a Team Member" from the Team Manual.

Every team position is an important part of Christ’s body, with a specific task to perform. “If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it” ( 1 Cor. 12:26)

Tres Dias team members are expected to be leaders for Christ. Accordingly, all should be members in good standing in a local congregation, Tres Dias is not your church.  Each team member is responsible for helping to build a cohesive team. Each team member should:
  1. Pray without ceasing for the candidates, the teams, and the families of both!
  2. Attend all team meeting
  3. Prepare for and know your team duties
  4. Make an effort to meet and know all team members
  5. Believe that God will give special power, grace and wisdom to the rectora for the purpose of glorifying God during this time
  6. Importantly, apply to this team experience, the same mind you had on your original Tres Dias Weekend. Believe that great things are possible, have a spirit of openness to God and what He is asking of you; and have a loving concern for one another and total trust in God!
  7. Try to learn as many of the candidates’ names as possible
  8. Wear your name tag
  9. Perform the tasks assigned to you to the best of your ability, letting others do theirs; and remember that you will be blessed most when you are serving with love and humility.
  10. The final formal team responsibility is to critique the Weekend. This takes place soon after the Weekend and is used by the Secretariat to improve our service to our Lord, this will be sent out via a group email with a link to a site to fill out a survey. Please take the time to fill out the survey and send it in, Thank You in advance!

A Tres Dias team member is one who:
  • Knows Jesus Christ as his/her personal Savior and Lord
  • Can witness to the life-changing companionship of Jesus
  • Believes and professes that God has called us all to live holy lives that will bring glory to His name (Col. 3:1-25)

The Weekend is a team effort. Each team member has a role to fulfill. While the rectora has been chosen by God to lead the team and the Weekend, no one team member whether laity or clergy, is greater or lesser than another. It is the team working and praying together, along with the guidance of God the Father, His only Son, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit, that produces the significant impact on the lives of the candidates and team who attend a Tres Dias Weekend.

Thank you for serving!
